Ek is opsoek na my vriendin Karin, haar familie woon in Kestell en sy het daarna toe terug getrek na sy getrou het. Haar man se naam is Rudolph. Haar boetie het drie kinders, Carmen, Dominique en Jacques. I really enjoyed the website!  I have been told that Oom Edmund Herne's whole blacksmith shop was reconstructed in Bloemfontein.  It is said to be fitted with the old tools etc. just as it stood in Kestell when I was a little girl.  Regards to all who know me.

My name is Jack Mokoena I am initially from Kestell, Tlholong.  I grew up there and completed my matric at Nkarabeng Secondary.  Truly I like what I am seeing, it just goes to show that indeed we are a great nation, and Kestell is the best with its peaceful atmosphere.  Thanks for the great work you are doing, keep it up.

Ek is gebore en het op Kestell groot geword.  My pa hulle het 'n winkel genaamd “Saamwerk” daar gehad.  My oom se prokureurs kantore was in dieselfde straat, maar die naam het my ontgaan.  Die "magistraats" kantoor was skuins oorkant.  Ek het nog baie fotos en ander aandenkinge van Kestell.  My skoolhoof was Mnr Bester en sy dogter Gerda was saam met my in die klas van Sub A tot Standerd 6.  Ander onderwysers was Mnre du Preez, Badenhorst, Smit en vele ander.

Ek moet jou komplimenteer met die web vir Kestell. Dit is puik en ek is trots op die inligting daarop. Terloops ek het my lewe tot laat in Bothastraat (op die hoek met die straat wat deur die dorp loop) deurgebring.

Weet jy dalk wat van 'n ander een van my klasmaats wat saam met my groot geword geword het. Sy was later onderwyser by Retief.  Haar naam is Anneen Munnik, weet nie wat haar getroude van is nie?
